Experience the amazing natural wonders of Wilson’s Promontory National Park, Australia’s most loved and cherished scenic attraction, also known as ‘The Prom’. Best explored on foot, embark on a walking adventure on spectacular tracks and through temperate rainforest locales in the company of an experienced and knowledgeable guide.

Enjoy bush walking and witness stunning native wildlife animals like Kangaroos, Emus, Wombats and a large number of Australian birds. Walk through the coastal rainforest and hike on some spectacular tracks. Climb up to Mt. Bishop to enjoy panoramic views of the southernmost point of Australia’s mainland.   • Embark on a full day tour of Wilson’s Promontory National Park with a morning pick-up from select Melbourne hotels. Relax and enjoy a scenic drive to Australia’s southernmost tip, with stops in between for your comfort. Enjoy an all-paid entrance along with your professional guide to the Wilsons Promontory Park, lovingly called ‘The Prom’ by the natives. This landmark was designated as a national park in 1898 and has been Victoria’s most cherished and sought-after natural attractions ever since. Let your expert guide lead you through the Prom’s diverse landscapes as you discover picturesque beaches, bush and varied forest trails on foot. This sightseeing adventure involves bird watching and spotting native animals, as you enjoy leisurely walks and moderately challenging uphill treks for panoramic mountain views. Go bush-walking and spot many marsupials such as kangaroos and wombats, emus and a prolific variety of native birds. Take a stroll between the rolling surf and windswept vegetation on the iconic white sand of the Squeaky Beach, where the ultra-fine rounded grains of quartz sand make a squeaky sound when walked on. Admire the massive granite cliffs of the Giant Rock. Walk further along the Tidal River and listen to your guide narrate in-depth stories and interesting facts about this national park. Hike through some magnificent tracks such as Lilly Pilly Gully and discover heathlands, eucalyptus forest and warm temperate rainforest. Walk up to Mt. Bishop while following the track on a steady uphill climb to witness the most dramatic and spectacular union of land and sea at the southernmost point of Australia’s mainland. This tour ends with a transfer back to your hotel in Melbourne late evening.

Luggage restrictions: Small hand luggage of maximum 5kgs is allowed on the bus.

This activity is adults (and older children) only. Little ones under the age of 4 years will have to sit this one out, we’re afraid.

It is highly recommended to wear appropriate footwear and clothing for walking, according to the warm and cold conditions, sunscreen, water bottle, hat and bathers for swimming (time permitting).

The Wilsons Promontory Tour is a nature based walking tour. We highly recommend a medium level of fitness.
