Overview

On this day tour escape Melbourne and pass through Western Plains of Victoria on your way to historic Ballarat to finally reach the wonderful Grampians! As you sip on refreshing morning tea, gain insight into Aussie history at the site of the Eureka Rebellion. Soon it'll be time to drive past the birthplace of Australian Rules Football as you cross the western volcanic plains to the town of Moyston.

Finally you'll arrive at the foot of the Grampians Range or Gariwerd in the local Jardwadjali language. Take some time to explore the Australian bush with a light stroll to the serene Silverband Falls followed by a stop for lunch. After a lunch break (own expense), it's time to head to the Wonderland Turntable for a short hike to the Grand Canyon. Behold the high rising rock walls and admire the area’s unique geology. Stunning panoramas await at Reeds Lookout which overlooks the towering Stringybark Forest and Victoria Valley

Of course no trip to the Grampians would be complete without a visit to the majestic MacKenzie falls. Marvel as water cascades down over the rocks, set in a gorge surrounded by eucalyptus forest. Your next port of call is the Boroka Lookout. Boroka provides panoramic views of the surrounding region overlooking the town of Halls Gap and further afield to Lake Bellfield and beyond. Finally a dinner stop is made on the return journey to Melbourne.
