    Get grandstand seats at one of nature’s most enthralling spectacles, see stunning views and unique wildlife on this magical day trip from Melbourne.

    visit the Moonlit Sanctuary on the Mornington Peninsula. Watch for koalas, kangaroos and wallabies in the sanctuary. The sanctuary also showcases the lesser-known but equally adorable endangered creatures including the southern bettong, eastern quolls and rare squirrel gliders.

    At The Nobbies, sniff the sea air and enjoy the scenery before heading to Summerland Beach and the highlight of your day – the evening Penguin Parade. As dusk falls, cute Little Penguins emerge from the surf and toddle up the beach to the safety of their burrows.

    It’s a sight not to be missed and the Penguins Plus package gives you priority seating in the area with the greatest concentration of penguins. A ranger will also be on hand to tell you more about these engaging birds.

    Itinerary

    The Phillip Island Tour With Penguins Plus is an exciting full-day adventure that begins when you are picked up from your hotel or from Rendezvous Hotel, 328 Flinders Street.

    Traveling in a comfortable coach with an expert guide, you’ll head out of Melbourne and stop at Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park. This award-winning park is home to more than 200 animals and makes up some 30 species. Residents include kangaroos and koalas as well as owls, dingos, various reptiles, wallabies and possums. Rare and endangered animals that have bred at the park include southern bettongs, eastern quolls, Julia Creek dunnarts and squirrel gliders.

    You will be able to hand feed kangaroos and wallabies, enjoy a photo opportunity with a koala and learn about the conservation of these loveable animals.

    Then head to the Phillip Island’s beautiful coast to enjoy the rugged rocky outcrops and panoramas of The Nobbies beauty spot. Close by are the Seal Rocks, which boasts Australia’s largest fur seal colony.

    Afterwards, you will be taken to Summerland Beach for the highlight of the day - the internationally renowned Penguin Parade.

    Phillip Island boasts one of Australia’s largest colonies of Little Penguins. Each night these delightful birds – the world’s smallest penguins – toddle ashore to the safety of their burrows in the dunes after their daily fishing expedition. This penguin homecoming is one of nature’s most enchanting spectacles.

    Your tour includes the exclusive Penguins Plus experience.With guest numbers limited to 150, you’ll enjoy special ranger interpretation in a more natural setting. This option also includes a complimentary hot beverage.

    At the end of the full-day excursion, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Melbourne or at Rendezvous Hotel, 328 Flinders Street.
