Discover the natural delights of Phillip Island on an action-packed away day from Melbourne. Get up close to seldom seen animals at the Australian Wildlife Park – a photographer's dream!
Be blown away by the Island’s rugged beaches and towering cliffs. Admire the awesome scenery at The Nobbies. Watch the antics of fur seals on the rocks.
The climax of the day comes at sunset when you meet the mega-stars of Phillip Island – the little penguins. See these delightful birds emerge from the surf in their hundreds and wad-dle up the beach to their homes in the dunes. This nightly Penguin Parade is one of Australia’s top attractions and an experience you’ll never forget.
The Phillip Island Penguin Parade & Wildlife Tour is an action-packed adventure that kicks off when you are picked up from your hotel or from St Paul’s Cathedral, Melbourne.
Traveling in a comfortable coach you will head out to Phillip Island, which lies 140km (86 miles) southeast of Melbourne. On the way you’ll see beautiful coastal views, and stop to enjoy complimentary morning tea.
Continue to the majestic Phillip Island, stopping along the way to visit the spectacular Brighton Beach huts which have made it one of the most photographed locations on this picturesque stretch of coastline.
Get up close and personal with Australian animals at a wildlife park; view the wildlife that Australia is renowned for and can spot some animals that are seldom seen.
Next you’ll visit the award winning Nobbies Information Centre, which gives an opportunity to enjoy views over Westernport Bay and Bass Strait, including Seal Rocks, home to Australia’s largest population of fur seals.
You will then head towards what will undoubtedly be the highlight of your Phillip Island tour, where just after dark the world’s smallest penguins parade ashore after spending the day fishing out at sea. You’ll be truly enchanted as the little penguins surf in on a wave, waddle up the beach and make their way to their burrows in the dunes as their ancestors have done for thousands of years.
