Mt Buller has terrain to suit every skill level. Whether you are a beginner or an expert who can swish down the fastest slopes with ease you will find runs to suit you.
Novices can practice at Bourke Street, Baldy or Burnt Hut Spur. Intermediate skiers will enjoy Little Buller, Wombat, Summit Slide or Dam Run.
Advanced skiers love the challenging black runs on the south side of the ski area such as Federation, Wood Run, the Bull Run and Wombat bowls, and Men’s and Women's Downhill.Apart from wonderful skiing the resort offers plenty of exciting après-ski entertainment and a great choice of cosy cafes and comfortable restaurants.
The Mt Buller Snow & Unlimited Ski Lift Ticket is an excellent choice for skiers. The fun begins when you are picked up from your inner city hotel in Melbourne. You can relax in a comfortable coach and enjoy the views on the journey to Mt Buller, about 4 hours drive from Melbourne. Videos are provided for entertainment on-board.
You will travel through the scenic Yarra Valley, passing the quaint townships of Yea and Bonnie Doon. At Mansfield you enter Victoria’s picturesque alpine region.
Once at the Mount Buller Resort you can hire the equipment you need and get ready for the slopes. Whether you are a novice or an expert skier Mount Buller has terrain suitable for you. With your unlimited ski lift pass you can visit any of the slopes and do as many runs as you like in the day.
For this tour you will need to purchase a Btag, a swipe pass worn on your jacket, which is scanned when you board the ski lift.
Beginners can start on the easy runs of Bourke Street before heading up to Baldy for a change of scene. Burnt Hut Spur is also a favourite green run for beginners. Being both long and wide, it’s the ideal place to work on your turns.
Mt Buller offers a range of exciting blue terrain for intermediate skiers. One of the most popular runs in this class is Little Buller Spur, a wide, cruising slope that leads to the Wombat Chair. Parallel to Little Buller Spur is Wombat, which also ends at Wombat Chair.
Other popular runs for intermediates on the south side include Standard, Family Run and Summit. On the northern side of the mountain Summit Slide and Dam Run are good choices.
Offering a wide range of black runs Mt Buller has plenty to challenge the the most experienced skier. The majority of advanced runs are located on the south side of the ski area, including the popular Federation, Wood Run, the Bull Run and Wombat bowls, and Men’s and Women's Downhill.
Other popular advanced slopes are Howqua Extension, McLaughlin’s Shoulder and Cow Camp.
As well as some exhilarating skiing you can enjoy a wide range of off-the-snow activities at the resort. Visit the day spa, catch a movie at the cinema, or hit the indoor rock climbing wall. You can also explore the attractive alpine village and enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants or cafes (charges apply).At the end of the day you will be driven back to Melbourne and dropped at your inner city hotel.
