Kickstart this full-day food and wine tour with an early morning transfer from your Melbourne hotel to Mornington Peninsula. Enjoy the company of an experienced guide throughout the day, as he takes you around the top landmarks in the region including rustic farm houses, picturesque vineyards and wine cellars. Prepare to taste exquisite food and the finest of chocolates, cheeses and wines.
Spend some time to marvel at the scenic ocean views of the peninsula. Stroll along Brighton Beach and capture some memorable photos of its century-old colorful bayside beach boxes. Reach the highest viewpoint of Mornington, Arthur’s Seat, to admire the views of pristine beaches, mazes and ornamental gardens, Melbourne’s twinkling glass towers, and the peninsulas of Mornington and Bellarine.
Stop at a commercial goat dairy and farmhouse cheese factory, Main Ridge Dairy and taste their handcrafted goat’s cheese. Take a quick tour around the farm before you continue further to reach T’Gallant Winery. Satisfy your taste with the finest cool climate wines in the peninsula including Pinot Gris and Grigio wines. You may even try their delicious Roman wood-fired pizzas.
Sample refreshing apple ciders next at Mock Orchards, known for producing one of the world’s best sparkling apple juice. Take a relaxed walk along the nearby beach or through the township’s boutique shops and galleries. Please your sugar cravings by trying some award-winning handcrafted chocolates at the Mornington Peninsula Chocolates.
Thereafter, visit the family-owned Sunnyridge Strawberry Farm, where the best berries in town are produced — strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Enjoy samples of their ciders, strawberry liqueurs, wines and even strawberry dipped in chocolate sauce. You may later choose to pick fruits from the strawberry field at some extra cost.
End this Gourmet Journey by visiting a last boutique Cellar door where you will sample award winning wines with friendly and knowledgeable tasting experts to guide you through.
