The tour starts in the heart of Melbourne, at Federation Square. Explore the Koorie Heritage Centre with its fascinating display of Aboriginal art work and visit the attached shop selling authentic South East Australian Aboriginal designed and/or crafted products.

    Then it’s time to visit a gallery featuring glass, sculpture and jewelry all handmade by established and emerging Australian artists. A short walk takes you to Lightning Ridge Opal Mines for an in-depth opal lesson from their highly experienced staff including the differences between various types of opals, the cutting and polishing process, and how opals are valued.
