Watch hundreds of tiny happy feet waddling to their burrows after sunset at Phillip Island with the Penguin Parade Evening Express Tour . If you have less time in hand and still want to catch up with the famous Penguin Parade, then this tour is designed for you.
Depart from Melbourne to set off on a picturesque journey to this largest colony of Little Penguins in the world.
Little Penguins are the smallest species of penguins and are only found on the coastlines of southern Australia and New Zealand. After sunset, see them emerge from the sea and wobble up to the beach.
To protect the Little Penguins, all revenue generated from the parade is invested back into research, environment and education projects to ensure their species flourishes.
On the way to Phillip Island, you will also visit the Gippsland region, the fishing village of San Remo and the Visitor Information Centre.
You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the corner of Flinders and Russell Street Federation Square and then you will be taken to Westernport Bay to start off your Little Penguin Parade Evening Express Tour. Your driver guide will point out important landmarks on the way, so that you don’t miss a thing.
Pass through some of the affluent suburbs of Melbourne where you will see many modern buildings and beautiful federation homes built in the late 1800s. Notice the change in landscape as you travel further and take delight in the scenic rural countryside.
You will travel through San Remo, a quaint fishing village and the region’s seafood capital. See the fishermen setting off for their daily catch. For those interested in a bigger catch, San Remo offers a number of charters out on the ocean where even sharks are known to take the bait!
Next, you will cross the bridge that connects Phillip Island to the mainland. Phillip Island features an abundance of Australian wildlife and a charming heritage. Some of the famous sites of the Island are Koala Conservation Centre, Churchill Island Heritage Farm, Nobbies Centre and the famous Penguin Parade.
You will also visit the Phillip Island Information Centre which has a range of information available on Phillip Island, its history, wildlife, and of course, the Penguin Parade. Here you can learn about the Little Penguin and its lifestyle. You can also browse through their souvenir shop for your own little piece of Penguin memorabilia.
The main highlight of the tour happens at Summerland Beach. Watch the Little Penguins emerge from the sea and waddle up the beach to their sand dune burrows just as the sun sets. Phillip Island is the largest colony of Little Penguins in the world.

I really enjoyed the penguin tour. The driver was very helpful and informative throughout the trip. My only recommendation is when I booked the tour...your web site says hotel...
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this excursion. The driver was very helpful and knowledgeable about the excursion....
The coach was very comfortable. The driver was very good at telling us about the city of Melbourne, the penguins, and others. It was fun the whole evening....
Get your art on.
It may be "built for kids", but trust us, it's great for adults too.
