Isango!, the specialist online retailer of global tours, experiences and attraction tickets, gathered data from more than 1,000 customers to showcase this summer’s leading experiences in the UK. The isango! index shows that the leading UK attraction is Windsor Castle with bookings up 92 per cent, following the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The average British family ticket sold this summer is for two adults and two children, with families spending £185 on a day out experience. Trips are not spontaneous with families booking 17 days in advance for a UK day out.
The top five UK Family Attractions for summer bookings, include:
- Windsor Castle – up 92 per cent
- London Hop on Hop Off bus tour – up 53 per cent
- Tower of London – up 52 per cent
- Giant’s Causeway, Northern Ireland – up 43 per cent
- A cruise along the River Thames – up 18 per cent
With Britain experiencing a prolonged heat wave and dry weather isango! has seen xx per cent overall growth in UK tickets sales. Despite this, the London Eye has seen the largest decrease in bookings with ticket sales down, via isango!, by 46 per cent. www.isango.com
