Meet your guide at Piazza del Colosseo. To begin your exciting tour, join the guide and sing along a fun song called We’re Going To Rome to set the mood for the theme of the tour. Next, your guide will ask each member of the group to choose a Roman name. Take baby steps and learn a few Latin and Italian words from the guide before your group is ready to break into another song called If You Want To Say Hello.
Next, embark on a panoramic tour around the city in a comfortable vehicle. Your vehicle will drive you around the important Rome highlights like Circo Massimo, Mouth of Truth, Teatro Marcello, Tiberina Island and Piazza Venezia. Your English speaking guide will tell you about the tour and distribute booklets which contains all the information regarding the Rome Sightseeing Tour and the activities you will be involved in during the course of the tour.
After the panoramic tour, you will begin your sightseeing at the Roman Forum, the central area around which ancient Rome developed. Filled with beautiful statues and buildings, it is a hub of stunning architecture and was a platform for public speeches in AD 203. At the Roman Forum, you will build a Laurel leaves crown and learn all about Roman coins and numbers. Thanks to the knowledgeable guide and a fascinating treasure hunt, families will co-operate, while exploring the Forum, to find the solutions to the quizzes on the booklet.
During your time at the Forum, you will get Skip-the-Line access to the most majestic structure of the Roman Empire, the Colosseum (originally known as the Flavian Amphitheatre), which is inhabited by myriad tales of bravery, public life and royalty in ancient Rome. You will also visit the Palatine Hill, the centremost of the Seven Hills of Rome.
Next, you will move on top of The Palatine Hill and enjoy a breathtaking view overlooking the Forum area.
After an educative and relaxing walk through the Forum area and Palatine Hill, you will reach one of the most beautiful terraces in downtown, Terrazza Caffarelli from where you will enjoy 350 degree, panoramic views of the city.
Your tour ends at Terrazza Caffarelli where you can spend some leisurely time, taking photographs under the backdrop of the spectacular Roman skyline or grab a snack from the local joints.
Passengers are asked to make their own way at least 30 minutes prior to tour departure time.
Please call the activity operator at least 24 hours prior to start of the tour to confirm all details.
On this tour, some of the venues or parts of the venue may be subject to last-minute, unforeseeable closures (e.g. river floods, Colosseum extraordinary closure). Although we try to list any date as soon as it becomes unavailable, when this unpredictable circumstance occurs, we will offer customers an extended alternative tour in keeping with the advertised total length of the tour.
Voucher information: You must print and surrender a paper version of your booking voucher for this activity (showing your voucher on a smartphone is not accepted). No refund can be given for customers without a printed copy of their voucher.
Skip-the-line tickets at the Colosseum allow only to skip long lines at the ticket office. For security reasons all visitors and their luggage shall be screened, which may take a lot of time. You will be required to check large bags, backpacks and large video cameras at designated security check point and pass thorough metal detectors.
We recommend passengers not to bring any items which may cause a delay for security checks (including scissors, knives, or any sharp objects) and to facilitate the security checks by storing any object (including mobile phones) in the bag/backpack or in the tray to be included in the x-ray machines.
Your guide will brief you about the attraction or will carry out educational activities during the waiting time.
The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details and local telephone numbers at the destination. They will happily answer any logistical questions that you may have.
Unfortunately this tour is not suitable for those with mobility problems.
Lunch is at your own expense during the free time at Terrazza Caffarelli
