Your first stop in this Rome tour is the Colosseum. Avoid the long queues and enjoy fast access to this UNESCO World Heritage site with your skip-the-line ticket.
Once inside, your guide will narrate the history of Colosseum and stories of valour, bravery and public life. The Colosseum is a living proof of the stunning architecture and strong masonry of ancient world, and has served as a model for stadiums around the world.
Next, pass by the Arch of Constantine and see the excavated ruins of the Roman Forum. Historically the forum was once of the cultural hub of Rome and the venue for festivals and triumphal processions when triumphant Roman armies returned from battles.
From the Roman Forum, climb up to the Palatine Hill, the most popular of the seven hills of Rome. Romulus and Remus were said to have been found on the Palatine by the she-wolf who nursed and raised them. Legend has it that Romulus went on to found Rome.
After visiting the Palatine Hill, enjoy a typical Italian lunch with pizza before heading for visit to two of the most important basilicas in Rome.
Explore the Basilica of Saint John in Lateran, home to Holy Steps, one of the city’s most important pilgrimage site. Continue along the historic Appian Way with your guide and arriving at the last stop of the tour, the Roman underground Catacombs. Explore the long winding passages, taking you to a time when Christianity was considered a simple cult whose members were executed as pagans and buried as martyrs.
The tour ends in Rome’s city centre after which you are free to explore on your own.

Extra measures may be implemented at some venues due to heightened global security. As a result, we may experience delays in getting through mandatory security checks when entering these venues. Extra measures may also restrict the size of bags that can be brought inside. To avoid disruptions or possible denied entry, we strongly suggest that you avoid bringing large purses, bags, or backpacks on your tour. The Colosseum does not have any cloakroom facilities in which to store such items.
Unfortunately, this tour is not suitable for those with mobility problems. We are also unable to accommodate strollers/pushchairs on this tour.
There is a new rule at the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill that only small backpacks and regular-size handbags are allowed inside. Guests with larger bags will not be allowed to enter (there are no storage facilities) and all guests must now pass through a security check before entering the Colosseum.
Italy’s tourist sites are among the most popular in the world. Skip the Line Access and careful planning limit crowd exposure, but please be aware that some locations may be unavoidably busy during standard hours.
On this tour, some of the venues or parts of the venue may be subject to last-minute, unpredictable closures. When this occurs, we are happy to offer customers an extended tour in keeping with the advertised total length of the tour.
