    Overview

Experience the Colosseum from the gladiator’s viewpoint and enjoy skip-the-line, privileged access to this UNESCO World Heritage Site through the Gladiator’s Gate and into the arena floor. Accompanied by a guide, get a sneak-peek into the backstage and dodge the massive crowds that generally enter from the upper level.

    Itinerary

Make your own way to the Colosseum and meet your guide at the entrance. Your skip-the-line Colosseum ticket will allow you to enter the monument without waiting in the long queue, through the Gladiator’s Gate, the entrance used by the fighters.

Enjoy best views of the Colosseum from the Arena floor and take memorable photographs. The guide will point out the underground areas where the gladiators used to wait to face their beastly opponents as the crowd cheered.

Explore the monument as your professional guide narrates stories of valour and gladiatorial fights.

Your Colosseum tour ends outside the complex after which you are free to explore on your own.

    Please note

Please call the local activity operator at least a day prior to the start of the tour to confirm all departure details.

It is the responsibility of all visitors to be at the meeting point 15 minutes before departure. Guests arriving after departure cannot be accommodated & missed tours or tickets cannot be refunded.

Extra measures may be implemented at some venues due to heightened global security. As a result, we may experience delays in getting through mandatory security checks when entering these venues. Extra measures may also restrict the size of bags that can be brought inside. To avoid disruptions or possible denied entry, we strongly suggest that you avoid bringing large purses, bags, or backpacks on your tour. The Colosseum does not have any cloakroom facilities in which to store such items.

Unfortunately, this tour is not suitable for those with mobility problems. We are also unable to accommodate strollers/pushchairs on this tour.

There is a new rule at the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill that only small backpacks and regular-size handbags are allowed inside. Guests with larger bags will not be allowed to enter (there are no storage facilities) and all guests must now pass through a security check before entering the Colosseum.

Voucher information: You must print and surrender a paper version of this voucher (showing your voucher on a smartphone is not accepted). No refund can be given for customers without a printed copy of their voucher.

    Additional info

The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details and local telephone numbers at the destination. They will happily answer any logistical questions you may have.
