This tour provides the perfect introduction to Venice. Accompanied by a guide you will set out on your walking tour which introduces many of the most exciting sights of Venice.
Explore the two sides of Venice starting with St Mark's Square, the large piazza which is the heart of Venice. The first stop for most is Piazza San Marco which is at the heart of the city and home to the famous Basilica di San Marco followed by the distinctive pink and white Doge's Palace. Enjoy a guided tour of the interior of St. Mark's Basilica with fast track access to the monument. This grand building dominates St Mark's Square and is one of the most iconic structures in Venice.
Next, explore the back streets of Venice, the narrow alleyways are home to beautiful canals, churches and piazzas which enthral visitors. One of those you will be visiting was the place where Marco Polo lived. These labyrinth of passageways make up the hidden side of Venice which many tourists never see. Feast your eyes on the postcard images that abound in every direction, as your guide will discuss Venetian Architecture, Venetian Mercantile Empire.
The tour will continue to the Cannaregio district, where you will admire the most beautiful well-head in Venice and the Pantheon of Venice (only exterior) where many important Venetians were laid to rest.

Knowledgeable guide who spent the 1st hr of a 2 hr walking tour of Venice retelling the history of St Mark and St Mark's Basillica. This meant little time to explore anything other than the route between St Mark's square and Rialto bridge.
Very well organised and instructions of where to meet were good. Tour guide very knowledgeable and it was great being able to skip the line. Excellent!!
Great tour despite the rain, the guide Christina (blonde one!) was so refreshing, knowledgeable and passionate about the history and Venice itself, we learnt so much and thoroughly enjoyed the trip, thank you Christina
