  • Meeting Point
    The meeting point for the tour is the water bus station number 2 on the Tronchetto (pier). Your guide will be waiting outside holding a sign for the “Hill Towns of the Veneto”.
    So, there's no rush, please arrive at the start point at least 15 minutes early so as to allow time for pre-departure briefing.
  • Ending Point

    The tour returns to the original point of departure.

Spend a day in the beautiful hills of Veneto near Venice. Stroll around enchanting villages and towns, and savour the delicious cuisine and famous wines of the Veneto. From Asolo, enjoy the scenic beauty that has inspired poets and writers for over centuries. A tour of Veneto would be incomplete without visiting a Palladian villa. Enjoy a guided tour of Villa Barbaro and see the fine frescoes that have made it so popular among tourists.


The tour will start from Tronchetto, Venice at 09:00am. You will travel in an air-conditioned vehicle accompanied by an English-speaking driver-cum-guide. On this relaxed tour you will explore the some of the most beautiful hill towns of Veneto.

Start with Medieval Marostica, with its imposing castle and giant chess-board permanently laid-out in the town square. Continue to Bassano del Grappa where you will enjoy a guided tour of the town which includes a magnificent Palladian bridge crossing the mighty Brenta river.

In Asolo enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding countryside which, have inspired poets and writers over the centuries. Enjoy a guided tour of Villa Barbaro one of Palladio's most celebrated works.

End the day on the Prosecco wine road visiting a local vineyard with stunning views of the terraced slopes thickly planted with vines, enjoy a refreshing glass of Prosecco or two.

At the end of the tour you will be returned to Venice. The tour ends at Tronchetto at around 6:00pm.

Please call the local activity operator anytime between 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Saturday, atleast a day prior to the start of the tour to confirm the departure details.

This is a small group tour and operates with a of maximum 8 passengers. However a minimum of 5 passengers are required for the tour to operate. If the minimum passenger requirement is not met, another departure option will be given or a full refund will be given.

Your tour guide will be holding a sign with the name of the tour written on it. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Infant seats are available on special request if advised at the time of booking.

Unfortunately, this tour is not suitable for people with mobility problems. Mention while booking so that alternative routes could be arranged.

Infant seats are available on request if advised at time of booking (children who are under 36 kg/97 pounds or 150 cm/4ft 9 in must use proper child restraints), failing to comply with this would result in denial of child.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Additional info
