Itinerary

This private tour departs from Tronchetto. You will travel in an air-conditioned vehicle accompanied by a guide.

Accompanied by a local expert on the mosaics, this private tour explores the fantastic world of coloured glass tessere, and by the end of the day you'll be able to decipher the encrypted message of the mystical world that you find represented in churches and mausoleums of Ravenna.

This day in Ravenna includes a visit to all the major sites of the famous mosaics: San Vitale, Galla Placidia Mausoleum, San Apollinare Nuovo and San Apollinare in Classe.

Between the various monuments that house the famous mosaics of Ravenna, enjoy a walking tour of the city of Ravenna which will include the tomb of Dante and its legend, as well as the history of Ravenna through the centuries. During the day, pause at a local restaurant (for an optional lunch), tucked away on the back-streets of Ravenna, where you have the chance to enjoy its special ambience and to savour the delicious cuisine and wines of the region of Emilia Romagna.

At the end of the tour you will return to Venice. The tour ends at around 6:00pm.
