Enjoy wine tasting at a family run traditional enotica (wine bar), with shelves lined with carefully selected bottles produced by prestigious and emerging wineries.
Alongside the wine, enjoy an inviting selection of regional cheese, premium salami and hams, smoked fish and a choice of hot homemade dishes. Also, your English speaking guide will teach you how to drink and taste wine.
Indulge in a conversation with your fellow group members and guide, while you enjoy your food and drinks.
For the Rome Wine and Cheese Tasting Tourin a Traditional Bar you should make your way to designated meeting point. It is a family run wine bar that started as a wine-shop over fifty years ago and was transformed into its present status by the third generation.
Your tour, which focuses on wine tasting, with cheese and meat will begin here. Wine tasting session will be available in English.
You will enjoy a balanced range of wine which includes:
A glass of Bellone: A forgotten antique local white grape variety paired with Rome's ricotta (ricotta romano), a rich and flavoured by-product of pecorino romano.
A glass of FrascatiSuperiore: White wine associated with Rome, from the vineyards, visible from the periphery of the Eternal town paired with pecorino Romano,a typical salty hard cheese from Lazio.
A glass of Nero Buona: A traditional, antique variety of red grapes, cultivated in the hills of Cori.
You will learn how to drink and taste the wines to spot the differences in colour and performance. Your English speaking guide will also give you an introduction about the areas where the wines are produced.
Along with the wine, you will also enjoy a platter ofcoppiette (an air-dried, jerky-type of salami stick that hails from the Castelli Romani) and flavoured and spicy porchetta, which is a spit-roasted pig stuffed with wild herbs.

A minimum of 2 passengers are required for the activity to operate, should you make a booking for 1 person and there not be anyone else booked every effort will be made to move you to another date, should this not be possible you will be offered a full refund.
Please carry a photo identification card to exchange the vouchers.
It is the responsibility of all visitors to be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the start time. Guests arriving after departure cannot be accommodated and missed tours or tickets cannot be refunded.
