    Your Vatican tour begins at 7:45am in front of the Aldo ai Musei Café, where you will meet your tour assistant. The assistant will take you to the Vatican Museums - just a short walk away – before the regular opening time. Arriving early means the site is open only to a select few, and offers a significantly less-crowded experience to that during public visiting hours.

    With the help of an audio guide, see one of the world’s largest art collections spanning Roman, Etruscan and Egyptian antiquities to contemporary art. Admire the Egyptian Museum, the Gallery of Maps, the Gallery of Tapestries and the stunning Raphael's Rooms! Explore more than 20,000 works of art spread across more than 4 miles of masterpieces.

    Visit the Sistine Chapel and be awe-struck by the luminous paintings on the ceiling and behind the altar painted by Michelangelo. Every corner of the chapel is decorated; with mosaics on the floor and intricate frescoes on the wall painted by the early Renaissance artists. It is a moving experience to see the enormity of Michelangelo's frescoes as well as that of the famous The Last Judgement painting, which he painted on the back wall of the chapel.

    After a visit to the museums, explore the picturesque Vatican City Gardens before making your way to the Pope’s Private Train Station. Board the special train and witness the unique event of the Vatican City Gates opening to allow the train to leave the State to travel through the lovely Roman countryside to the town of Castel Gandolfo, the Pope’s summer home.

    At Castel Gandolfo, explore the Pontifical Villas on a comfortable ecological vehicle and admire the perfect organization, gardens, fountains, flowers and Roman ruins scenic views of the smallest state in the world.

    After the Pontifical Villas tour, you are free to explore Castel Gandolfo, one of the most picturesque hamlets of the Roman Countryside, at your own pace. Enjoy a quintessential Italian experience, have lunch at a local Trattoria and sip Espresso seated in the medieval square of Castel Gandolfo.

    After exploring the charming town, reach Castel Gandolfo train station and catch your train to Saint Peter train station.

    The Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel are holy places and thus, the attire must be appropriate for the visit. Both men and women are asked to wear clothing that covers at least the shoulders and knees. isango! cannot be held responsible for denied entry due to improper dress. Please note that, since the chapel is at the end of the Vatican visit, it is sufficient to bring extra coverings with you and put them on before our entrance to the Vatican.

    Being a Jubilee year, kindly note that Sistine Chapel might close at any given time without notice.

    This tour is not recommended for wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility.
