    Located close to Keflavik International Airport, the Blue Lagoon is one of Iceland’s premier attractions. Lying in a field of basalt lava, the milky-blue mineral-rich waters are the run-off from a geothermal project and the temperature averages a relaxing 35-40°C.

    Soaking in the steamy turquoise pool set in a natural bowl of black rock is a truly relaxing way to spend a couple of hours.

    Your entrance to Blue Lagoon is included.You have two Blue Lagoon Admission options to choose from- Standard Admission Bathing Package or Comfort Admission Bathing Package.The Blue Lagoon Standard Bathing Package includes entrance to The Blue Lagoon spa. You can also opt for the Blue Lagoon Comfort Bathing Package, which includes silica mud mask, use of towel, 1st drink of your choice and algae mask.

    Itinerary

    The tour starts in Reykjavik, where you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the Blue Lagoon. You can choose to be collected as per the schedule.

    This service is ideal for departing visitors who want to enjoy one of Iceland’s most relaxing experiences before catching their flight.

    The Blue Lagoon is a unique spa located in a lava field in west Iceland. A combination of silica, geothermally-heated sea water and algae gives the lagoon a lovely milky-blue color. The warm water comes from the nearby geothermal power plant of Svartsengi and averages a pleasant 40 °C (104 °F). It is rich in minerals and bathing in the Blue Lagoon is said to alleviate skin conditions such as psoriasis.

    The spa's state-of-the-art facilities include: modern changing rooms and showers, an indoor pool, and a restaurant overlooking the Blue Lagoon. A geothermal beach, lava caves and silica mud are also a part of the lagoon area. In addition to bathing, you can enjoy relaxing in a lava cave and a unique geothermal steam bath.

    Your time at the Blue Lagoon is at leisure. You have two Blue Lagoon packages to choose from - Standard Admission Bathing Package or Comfort Admission Bathing Package.

    The Standard Admission Bathing Package includes the visitor pass as well as the entrance fee to the Blue Lagoon spa. You can bathe in the lagoon, enjoy sauna and use the changing facilities.

    The Comfort Admission Bathing Package includes all the elements of the standard package and additional benefits, which are as follows:

    • Get a large and comfortable towel. You must return the towel after bathing.
    • Enjoy a drink of your choice at the Blue Café or the Lagoon Bar.
    • Silica mud and algae mask

    At the end of the trip you will be dropped off at Keflavik Airport to catch your flight. Driving time to the Airport is about 20 minutes. Most airlines require that you arrive at the Airport at least 2 hours before flight departures, so please choose your departure time from the Spa with that in mind. Please tell the bus driver on your way to the Blue Lagoon which departure you plan to take when leaving the Spa.

    Please call the activity operator at least 24 hours prior to start of the tour to confirm the pick up details.

    The luggage storage charges €3 per bag for the duration of the passenger´s stay at Blue Lagoon. Storage and sanitary facilities near the entrance and parking area.

    Pick-up from hotels and guesthouses is 45 minutes before start time. A range of pick-up/departure time are available. Please be ready at your chosen pick-up time and watch out for tour operator buses at the entrance to your hotel. Driving time to the Blue Lagoon is about 50 minutes.

    Driving time to the Airport is about 20 minutes. Most airlines require that you arrive at the Airport at least 2 hours before flight departures, so please choose your departure time from the Spa with that in mind.

    Please tell the bus driver on your way to the Blue Lagoon which departure you plan to take to the airport.

    This is a non-guided transfer service and the fee to bathe at the Blue Lagoon is included in your ticket

    Pick-up is available from major hotels and guesthouses in the greater Reykjavik area. Pick-up services are not provided from private addresses.

    Pickup and drop-off service will not be provided from Laugavegur and Hverfisgata streets of the city.

    Voucher information: No need to print! If you are travelling with a smartphone or tablet you can present your voucher on your device for this activity.

    For the bathing options, the exact entrance time to Blue Lagoon will be confirmed after the booking is made.

    The authorities of Reykjavik City has announced that changes will be made to the current arrangement for tour bus traffic in Reykjavik City Centre, effective from 15th of July. The area where busses are not allowed to drive has been increased in size, and locations, numbers and names of the designated bus stops have been changed.

    The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details and local telephone numbers at the destination. They will happily answer any logistical questions you may have.
