  • Overview & Itinerary

Set outside Reykjavik for an exciting hunt for the Northern Lights. During certain weather conditions, i.e. on crispy cold and still winter evenings, this magnificent natural wonder can be seen, dancing across the arctic sky.

The Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, is a spectacular natural phenomenon that originates from the sun. When the solar particles collide with the atmospheric gases of the earth, they create a wonderful light effect, known as the Aurora Borealis.

You will be picked up from your hotel/guesthouse taken on a guided bus tour for an Iceland Northern Lights Tour.

The Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, are a spectacular natural phenomenon, often seen dancing around in fantastic colours across the Arctic sky. The Northern Lights originate from the sun, where large explosions and electronic storms throw flares and solar particles deep into space. These clouds of solar particles are caught by the Earth’s magnetic field on the south and north poles. The solar particles collide with the atmospheric gases and create this wonderful light effect, known as the Aurora Borealis. Northern Lights can be seen when certain weather conditions are fulfilled, usually during crispy cold and very still evenings.

The tour will take you to all the places where these Northern Lights are most likely to be seen.

At the end of an exciting three-hour hunt, you will be dropped back to the starting point.
