With choice in single or shared accommodation, transfers and a guide included in the package, the tour is ideal for those who are short on time and are seeking a memorable and adventurous Iceland experience!

Itinerary

Day 1

You will be picked up from your Reykjavik accommodation and driven down Ring Road No 1 to the Eyjafjallajökull volcano that erupted in 2010 and disrupted all European air travel. See the beautiful Icelandic countryside, full of farmlands and small villages as you head towards the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, one of Iceland’s most popular attractions.

The picture-perfect Seljalandsfoss Waterfall gives you the opportunity to go behind its gushing water and witness the speed of the water as it cascades down a marshy hill. If you are lucky, you might even spot rainbows on a sunny day!

Next, you will visit the spectacular Skógafoss waterfall, where you may climb the 527 step up the hill to enjoy brilliant, panoramic views of the cascading water and rainbows.

Moving forward, you will reach the quaint village of Vik and see the splendid black beach of Reynisfjara, known for its famous basalt columns and caverns. Be amazed by the extraordinary landscape of the surroundings and the basalt formation in the sea which, according to Icelandic legends, are believed to be mischievous trolls that were turned to stone by the rising sun.

In the evening, you will head to your accommodation in the countryside, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, which is perfect for spotting the famous Northern Lights.

Day 2

Refuel yourself with a hearty breakfast as you get set for a day full of adventure in the glacier. Drive down to the famous Jökulsárlón Ice Lagoon, home of the massive floating icebergs.

At the lagoon, meet a certified glacier guide who will help you gear up for the glacier hiking and ice cave adventure. Once ready, you will be driven to the edge of the Vatnajökull glacier, close to the ice cave.

Inside the crystal cave, you will get ample time to explore the beauty of these naturally occurring ice caves. See the unique spectacle of blue light seeping through the dense walls of the cave that gives it a turquoise look and breathe in the fresh air.

After visiting the ice cave, make your way back to Reykjavik with a stop at the Skaftafell Nature Reserve. Take in the beauty of this serene park surrounded by jagged mountains and glacier-topped peaks.

On the drive back, after the night falls, we will make sure to look for the Northern Lights.
