From Reykjavik, head straight to the Old Harbour. Viðey Island is a 20-minute ferry ride from the harbour. See the stunning architecture and buildings of Viðey Island including the famous Yoko Ono installation, the Imagine Peace Tower and Richard Serra’s The Milestone Project. Viðey Island is also home to the oldest church in Iceland and Viðey House, the first building in the country to be built with stone.
Northern Lights
Gaze at the spectacular Northern Lights with the backdrop of the island’s impressive buildings below. Enjoy the picturesque landscape as you take an evening stroll in search of the auroras. Take pictures against the magnificent auroras and buildings and enjoy brilliant 360-degree panoramic views of Reykjavik from the platforms scattered around the island.
