    Itinerary

To begin your Viðey Island tour, you can either choose to be picked up from your accommodation in Reykjavik or head straight to the Old Harbour. Viðey Island is a 20-minute ferry ride from the harbour.

After reaching the island, you will explore with the help of a guide. See the stunning architecture and buildings of Viðey Island including the famous Yoko Ono installation, the Imagine Peace Tower and Richard Serra’s The Milestone Project. Viðey Island is also home to the oldest church in Iceland and Viðey House, the first building in the country to be built with stone.

The main highlight of the tour is the chance to gaze at the spectacular Northern Lights with the backdrop of the island’s impressive buildings below. Enjoy the picturesque landscape as you take an evening stroll in search of the auroras. Take pictures against the magnificent auroras and buildings and enjoy brilliant 360-degree panoramic views of Reykjavik from the platforms scattered around the island.

At the end of the tour, you will take a ferry back to Reykjavik and dropped back to the starting point.
