  • Overview & Itinerary

Discover Iceland as you travel all the way from Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon in the East, through the South Coast of Iceland on this comprehensive 5-day tour. See all the main attractions in Iceland, including Reykjavík, the Golden Circle and the Blue Lagoon. You will also hike on a glacier with a gorgeous view of the South Coast before you reach Jökulsárlón and the Diamond beach.

Feast your eyes on plenty of waterfalls, a black sand beach, glaciers, and volcanoes. You'll also have the chance to explore Reykjavík and you can add on extra options during booking such as horseback riding through a geothermal field near Gullfoss waterfall, snowmobiling on top of Langjökull glacier, snorkeling in Silfra gorge and floating between two Continental plates.

Day 1 - Arrival in Reykjavík

Arrive at the international airport in Keflavík and head to the northernmost capital in the world: Reykjavik! Spend the rest of the day exploring Reykjavík and settle into your hotel room in the centre of town. You'll find plenty of interesting places to see, such as the Hallgrímskirkja church, Laugavegur and Skólavörðustígur shopping streets. There are plenty of designer boutiques, quirky cafés, world-class restaurants, the Old Harbour, the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Center and more. Spend your first night in Reykjavík.

    Day 2- The Golden Circle

Marvel at the wonders of the Golden Circle starting with Þingvellir National Park, a site located between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. You may choose to visit Silfra, a site filled with crystal clear glacial water which makes it a popular snorkelling and diving site. Head next to Geysir geothermal area where the impressive Strokkur geyser erupts every five to ten minutes, creating a water column that can reach heights of up to 40m! Then visit Gullfoss Waterfall, one of the most iconic falls in Iceland and watch the Hvítá glacier river cascade into an ancient gorge in two tiers with enormous power.

Departing from Gullfoss falls, you can hop on a bus taking you to the great Langjökull glacier where you can whizz across the white expanse both for the thrill and the feeling of ultimate freedom in Icelandic wilderness.
On the way back to the city after the Golden Circle tour, you’ll make a stop at the Blue Lagoon, for a sensory experience unique to Iceland. You may also choose to unwind in the azure lake and healing waters of the Blue Lagoon and enjoy clouds of steam from the hot, geothermal water rise into the sky. Release all your tension, letting the azure water soothe tired muscles and joints. You'll spend the night in Reykjavik.

Day 3- First Day of the South Coast

Start your day early and head to the Reynisfjara beach and behold the majestic North Atlantic sea. Thereafter make your way to the charming Icelandic village Vík and finally visit the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, one of Iceland's most breathtaking locations. Nearby is the Diamond Beach: a black beach covered with icebergs that resemble diamonds glistening in the sun. Keep your eyes peeled for a few seals playing on the icebergs and then head to your accommodation for the night. You'll spend the night in a hotel on the south coast between the glacier lagoon and the village of Vík.

Day 4 - Second Day of the South Coast

Today you'll go hiking on a glacier! Head towards Sólheimajökull glacier tongue where you will go glacier hiking - just remember to bring good hiking boots that crampons will fit on. Spend about 90 minutes on the glacier, exploring the gorgeous ice.

After the exhilarating experience, it’s time to drive back to Reykjavík but along the way you'll make a stop by the stunning waterfalls Seljalandsfoss, Gljúfrabúi and Skógafoss. Your guide will also make a stop at a hidden cave before reaching Reykjavík in the late evening. Spend your last night in Reykjavík.

    Day 5 - Last Day - Departure

You'll get to spend your last day in Iceland exploring the capital, Reykjavík. If you have a few hours to spare due to a late flight, you can book a whale watching tour from Reykjavík's Old Harbour on for this day, where you can admire these magnificent animals out at sea for one last beautiful memory of Iceland.
