This ‘Golden Circle’, showcases the most spectacular scenery in Iceland as well as the continent’s important historic sites.
Admire Gullfoss, the queen of Iceland’s waterfalls, as it tumbles down a deep gorge. Discover lovely The Þingvellir National Park – full of natural beauty and historic interest. Witness the places where Iceland’s landscape tearing apart due to massive forces of the Earth’s crust.
Visit the birth-place of the Icelandic parliament, the site of the world’s oldest national assembly at Thingveller’s plains. Take in sprouting springs of Geysir, the epic water jets are so well known that they’ve lent their name to all the hot springs of the world. The stop at Geysir will be around 60 minutes.

Far from the glow of the city, we will hunt for the magnificent but elusive auroras, best seen on cold, clear nights in winter. If conditions are right, we may be lucky enough to witness the awesome spectacle of the Lights swirling in a wild and carefree dance across the sky in vivid colours and dramatic patterns.
The Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, are a spectacular natural phenomenon. The waves of brilliantly coloured light dancing across the Arctic sky have been astounding visitors for decades.
After the Golden Circle tour you will be dropped off to your accommodation for a short break and picked up again at 8:30pm for the Northern Lights tour.

You will be picked up at your hotel 30 minutes prior to tour departure.

Icelandic weather is unpredictable; we recommend dressing in warm layers and sturdy shoes.
Northern Lights is a natural phenomenon and sightings are not guaranteed! In the event of an unsuccessful northern lights hunt, there will be no refund. However, you may join on subsequent tours until you have a successful night of seeing the northern lights.
If the tour is cancelled due to weather conditions, you can attend same tour later day, or you can get a refund.
Tours on 31st December will miss the fireworks in Reykjavik. The Northern Lights tour lasts between 6 -8 hours and so we won’t be back in Reykjavik before midnight. If you want to see the fireworks in Reykjavik on New Year’s Eve, don’t book this tour on 31 December!
If the weather forecast predicts heavy cloud cover, the right to cancel is reserved.
If your tour is canceled it will be done at 18.00 hours on the day of your tour. As soon as has the decision has been made your hotel and booking agent will be contacted, so it’s best for you to check with your hotel or our local partner whose number will be mentioned in the voucher.
If you don’t see the Northern Lights, you will be given a second tour for free, however please note the second tour will be the standard Northern Lights Tour.
Complimentary pick-up and drop-off at hotels, guesthouses and bus stops starts 30 minutes before the departure of the tour. Please note that for hotels in the city center, you might have to go to a nearby bus stop for the pick-up due to traffic restrictions.

The Northern Lights tour may be cancelled if weather conditions are deemed unfavourable. Please check https://book.grayline.is to see the tour's status. We cannot guarantee sightings even if the tour is operated. In these cases we offer our customers a second tour free of charge.
Covid-19 restrictions in Iceland: People who present a vaccination certificate or a certificate of previous infection are allowed to enter the country. Other visitors must stay in a government quarantine facility for 5-6 days with double PCR testing. Unnecessary traveling from high-risk countries is banned.
