Witness the world’s most popular natural phenomena- The Aurora Borealis, popularly known as the Northern Lights. Northern Lights, one of nature’s greatest showstoppers! In Latin the word ‘Aurora’ refers to sunrise and the name of the Roman Goddess of the dawn and ‘Borealis’, the Greek name for the north wind. Be in awe of the magical shimmering night giving you a once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience
Soak in the magical ambience while sitting in a comfortable luxurious tour bus with a transparent roof that promises panoramic views of the Northern Lights. Being on a luxurious bus has its own pros like WIFI on board, electrical outlets to power devices, a super comfortable and spacious lounge area where you may relax. Good news, if you are a social network addict, you can easily make a video or do live streaming if you want to update your social media feed with the high speed internet on board.
Enjoy fascinating commentary about the indigenous Icelandic culture and traditions by your enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. Therefore, your guide will make sure that you see the Northern lights from the most beautiful location that will leave you awestruck and spellbound. Multiple food options are available for purchase at various stops. Savour the sparkling wine and Icelandic snacks/refreshments would be served (included).
The dazzling display of lights in the backdrop of an inky black sky provides the most fabulous photo opportunities. So be sure to carry your camera along. Your guide for the evening will be happy to help you set up your camera (in case you need a hand). Visit Aurora Reykjavik museum on the day of the tour for FREE and experience the exhibition full of interactive displays as well as a specially equipped ‘photo booth’.
Voucher Information: No need to print! You can show your voucher on your smartphone or other device.
Please call the activity operator at least 24 hours prior to start of the tour to confirm all departure details.
In case pickup is not possible directly from your hotel, you will be picked up from another location nearest to your place. Please arrive at your pickup location 30 minutes before the departure of the tour.
Icelandic winter nights can be very cold, we recommend dressing in warm layers and sturdy shoes.
Northern Lights is a natural phenomenon and sightings are not guaranteed! In the event of an unsuccessful northern lights hunt, there will be no refund. However, you may join on subsequent tours until you have a successful night of seeing the northern lights.
Indicated return times can vary due to road & weather conditions.
It's ideal to start your evening at the Aurora Museum and have us pick you up from there for your tour.
You can visit Aurora Museum in Reykjavik, Grandagarour 2, 101 for FREE. It is valid only on the day you join the tour, only if tour is operational. You will get the confirmation via mail and you need to reach the museum on your own.
You can choose whether or not to use the complimentary ticket for your visit to the Aurora Reykjavik Museum. We regret that, because this is a complimentary ticket, we will be unable to issue any partial refund if you do not intend to attend the museum.
Overpriced for what you received on the tour. The bus was really nice, but that was about it. The refund policy is really strange. If you don't go on the tour, you are eligible for a full refund, but if you go and don't see the northern lights, you are restricted to only re-scheduling in the next 3 years. If you're like most, you don't have immediate plans to return to Iceland in the next 3 years, so now you're stuck with an expensive tour.
