This tour is specially designed to take you to Broadway’s most historically significant and renowned places. You will be led by an expert Broadway insider guide with first-hand theatre experience. Walk to the Times Square located at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue, also referred as the ‘heart of the world’, it is brightly adorned with billboards and advertisements. Learn about the history of Duffy Square which has been a staging area for public rallies and scene of many victory celebrations. Find out why Shubert alley, originally built as a fire exit, is now considered the epicentre of Broadway. You will also be shown other significant places in Broadway including Rodgers and Hammerstein way, Marriott Marquis theatre, Majestic theatre, and American airlines theatre.

The second part of the tour includes special access to New Amsterdam Theatre, now the official Disney theatre on Broadway. It has staged popular Disney plays like Aladdin, Mary Poppins and The Lion King which broke records and won numerous accolades. Learn all about what goes in the making of a Broadway show from the in-house historian leading the tour. Admire the neoclassical architecture style of the splendid interior of the theatre. You will then be escorted to the Costumes and Props studio which has the paraphernalia of outfits and props from iconic Broadway shows. Touch the graphite head pieces from The Lion King, this place has it all!

The tour ends at the New Amsterdam Theatre and you are free to spend the rest of the day as you please.

Note: Due to ongoing construction and preparations of the New Amsterdam Theatre for the premiere of Frozen on Broadway, from November 20 2016 through January 2017, the costume room access will be replaced by an actual backstage experience. The backstage area of Broadway theatres has been off limits to public tours for decades, and hasn't been accessed by the public in the New Amsterdam in a very long time. We request you to follow the tour guide's instructions while backstage to continue to allow us to offer this highly exclusive experience. Between January 2017 and July of 2018, the costume and prop access will be restored via a mobile cart brought into the orchestra section of the theatre.
