Leave Krakow and drive south to the mountain paradise of Zakopane, situated in the foothills of the Tatra Mountains. Visit the Terma Bania Water Park and Spa, where adults can relax in the thermal baths or saunas and kids can have a wild time on the attractions in the water park.
Replete with water slides, hydrotherapy pools, steam rooms, saunas and spa therapies- the modern spa complex of Bania Thermal Pools is a perfect place to spend some leisurely time and de-stress. Known for their therapeutic properties, the spa's minerals are said to help reduce stress, cure headaches and even eradicate heart disease.
Relax in the indoor and outdoor pools and spend time lounging in poolside chairs and at the complex's bars and restaurants!
For your delightful Zakopane Bania Thermal Pools Day Trip, you will be picked up from your hotel reception desk in the lobby of your hotel at the time arranged with the local activity operator. Alternatively, you can join the tour at the local activity operator’s office at 2 Swietego Jana Street.
You’ll travel in a car or a minibus (depending on the size of your party) with your English-speaking guide. The tour will involve some walking, so do make sure you are wearing comfortable shoes.
You will drive south around 200 kms to Zakopane, which lies in the south of Poland near the border with Slovakia. Framed by the majestic Tatra Mountains, Zakopane is the highest city in Poland and an important winter sports hub.
Enjoy a scenic drive from Krakow to Zakopane and learn about the city’s history and the story behind its distinct wooden architecture. During the Second World War, it was a hotbed of Polish Resistance to the Nazis. It is famous as the birthplace of the “Zakopane Style” of wooden architecture developed by the architect, painter and novelist Stanislaw Witkiewicz.
You will be taken to Terma Bania (Water Park Bania) , a family entertainment water park, which includes thermal pools, a water park and spa center.
The park has a “fun” zone and a “quiet zone”. In the fun zone you’ll find five thermal pools, a playground and lots of attractions for kids such as water cannons, waterfalls and a wave pool. From the outdoor pools you can see stunning panoramas of the Tatra Mountains.
The quiet zone has thermal pools and a spa with five saunas. Nudity is a feature of the saunas so guests must be over 18 to enter the sauna zone.
You can spend about 3 hours enjoying these wonderful facilities before boarding your vehicle to return to Krakow. At the end of the tour you will be dropped off at your hotel or at 2 Swietego Jana Street.
