Kazimierz, the Jewish Quarter of Krakow is known for its abundance of markets, synagogues and kirkuts (Jewish cemeteries) which lend a distinct character to this part of town.
As Kazimierz represents the history of Polish Jews, some shots of Steven Spielberg Schindler’s List were captured here. During this tour you would discover this charming part of Krakow with its monuments and complex history.
Your tour starts from the Jewish Culture Centre, Mesiels Street 17 at a convenient time chosen by you. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, you will be taken on a walking tour of Kazimierz.
Walk past the markets, synagogues and kirkuts (Jewish cemeteries) as you learn more about Poland’s Jewish culture and their history.
Your guide will also point out places that were filmed during the making of the movie ‘Schindler’s List’.
At the end of the tour you will finish at the original point of departure.
Please wear comfortable walking shoes as the tour requires a moderate amount of walking.
Museum of Oscar Schindler Factory is open till 2pm on the first Monday of the month.
