Overview

The Monastery of Jasna Góra in Czestochowa, Poland, is the third-largest Catholic pilgrimage site in the world. Home to the beloved icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa, the icon depicting the Mother of God with the Christ Child.

It is known as the Black Madonna of Czestochowa or Our Lady of Czestochowa. It is also widely venerated and credited with many miracles. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Jasna Góra monastery which has been a pilgrimage destination for hundreds of years

Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel in Krakow at a convenient time chosen by you. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, you will travel in private vehicle for a guided tour of Czestochowa.

• Upon your arrival at Czestochowa, visit the famous Pauline monastery of Jasna Gora that is the home of the Black Madonna painting, a shrine of the Virgin Mary.
• You can also visit the baroque Basilica that is attached to the Chapel of the Black Madonna.
The Armoury Room.
• Visit the Treasury Room which is a rich storehouse of votive offerings given to the Black Madonna over the centuries, from the 14th century to the present. Gifts range from swords and scepters to rosaries made of dried bread in concentration camps.

At the end of the tour you will return to your hotel in Krakow.
