Overview

In the past, Poland has seen the emergence of several industrial cities due to its rich coal reserve, lead ore mines, silver mines and salt mines. It has led to the intermingling of cultures, especially those of Polish, Germans and Jews. On this tour from Krakow, you will explore the various industrial town around Krakow and learn about the rich history and heritage that these towns hold.  

During your tour, you will visit two major industrial centres: 

Katowice: a centre of science, culture, industry, business and trade and was named a UNESCO City of Music. You will tour the Nikiszowiec area of the city.  

Tarnowskie Gory: the city known for historic lead-ore mining and known for its rich silver reserves. You will visit an interactive museum and learn the process of silver mining in the Historic Silver Mines.
