Experience Krakow with us

The perfect mix of past and present, medieval architecture and quirky modern street-style go hand-in-hand in this enchanting city. Gothic and Renaissance masterpieces like the Wawel Castle, St Mary’s Bascilica, and Europe’s largest market square from the 14th century, Rynek Glówny, proves Kraków’s rich heritage is alive and well. Perhaps the most pertinent historic sites in the city, the remaining synagogues, and other religious sites in the city’s Jewish quarter of Kazimierz are beautiful odes recognising the tragedies of WW2. From troubled times to now, Kraków has picked itself up and dusted itself off, emerging in the 21st century with the quiet confidence of a bohemian yet ever-elegant city well aware of all it has to offer. While the city’s universities lend a fresh vibe to modern Kraków, an array of bars, galleries, restaurants, and market squares cements the city’s title of Poland’s cultural capital. You’ll enjoy every minute spent in this bewitching city; Krakow revived is a sight to see.

Our tips for Krakow

  • Raise the bar. Kraków claims to have the most bars per capita than other European city. Test the theory and enjoy a cold one in this fun-loving city.
  • Take a history lesson. Followers of the film, Schindler’s list - based on real-life events during WW2 – should take the time to see the pertinent site of Schindler’s work factory first-hand in Kraków’s Jewish Quarter. This is one of the most pertinent destinations on the Kraków sightseeing agenda, and is well worth a visit.
  • Be crafty with your cash. When visiting Kraków attractions, you’ll enjoy cheaper entrance tickets and spend less on food and drinks too. If you’re visiting the Rynek Glówny and fancy a bite, try a restaurant just a few streets away from the main market square and you’ll save significant dough.

Good to know

Hit the ground in April or May for long days, pleasant weather, and less tourist traffic than the during peak summer months when Kraków tours are busy. If you don’t mind the crowds, visit Kraków in July when the Jewish Culture Festival breathes new life into the city.
