Tour departs from Piazza Strozzi at the side entrance of the Palazzo Strozzi facing the Luis Vuitton Store where you will find your guide holding a sign with the name of the tour written on it.
Please report at the meeting point 15 minutes before the start time. This is mandatory to allow time for pre-departure briefing.
The tour ends inside the Galleria della Accademia.
Meet your English-speaking guide the Piazza Strozzi at 10:00am for your walking tour.
This tour takes you through the streets and piazzas of Florence, with a focus on renaissance art and architecture. Your guide will talk about the ideas of the Renaissance, the lives of many famous artists, the Medici family who showered Florence with countless masterpieces, and how life changed forever during this epic period of the history of Florence.
In-between the famous landmarks, such as the Ponte Vecchio and Piazza Signoria your will wander down enchanting back-streets and alleys paved with the original stones from ancient times. You will stroll through Dante’s old neighbourhood before arriving at the Galleria della Accademia where you will learn about one of the worlds most famous sculptures; Michelangelo’s David.
The tour ends in the museum at around 1:00pm and you are free to spend more time here at leisure.
Please call the local activity operator anytime between 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Saturday, atleast a day prior to the start of the tour to confirm the departure details.
Your tour guide will be holding a sign with the local activity operator’s name written on it
Guides will inform clients at the start of the tour in case they will need to split the tour during the day (making the highlights of Florence in the morning and giving an appointment to the clients later in the day to see the David) if necessary.
