Your trip to Siena and San Gimignano will begin when you board your coach from Piazza Stazione in Florence, Italy, at 8:30am. A multilingual tour escort will accompany you throughout this trip. As you drive through the beautiful Italian countryside, your tour escort will keep up a running commentary about Italian history, art, and landscape.
Your first stop during the trip will be Siena, a small town in the heart of Tuscany. Siena is considered to be one of the best preserved medieval towns in Italy. You'll be free to explore the town at leisure; make sure to see Siena's beautiful Cathedral, and take a look around the historic Piazza del Campo, said to be one of the most beautiful squares in Europe. Admire the charming architectural styles that you see in Siena.
After spending approximately 4 and a half hours in charming Siena, you'll head to San Gimignano, a hilltop Tuscan town. The city is surrounded by walls, and is famous for its medieval architecture and tall buildings. Some of the city's most beautiful works are its churches, especially the Collegiate Church and the Church of Saint Augustine, which hold works by Renaissance artists.
Leisure time in San Gimignano is approximately 2 hours, after which you'll board the coach to return to Florence. The trip should return around 7:00pm.
Passengers should reach the meeting point 15 minutes to prior departure.
