During the course of the tour, dodge the long queues to one of the major Florence attraction and enjoy fast track access to the Accademia Gallery. Marvel at the original marble statue of David by Michelangelo. One of the masterpieces of Renaissance sculpture, the figure was created in 1504 for the city of Florence and placed in front of the Palazzo Vecchio. In 1873, this statue was replaced by a replica and the original was placed in the Accademia Gallery to keep it safe from weather and acts of vandalism.

Your guide will meet at San Marco square, Piazza San Marco, in front of the monument to Manfredo Fanti, right in the middle of the square.
Arriving by foot: Piazza San Marco is located 100m from the Accademia and 500m from the Cathedral (the Duomo) of Santa Maria del Fiore.

Since we would visit a place of worship, wearing shirts with sleeves and avoiding shorts, vest tops and open-toe sandals would be best.
So there’s no last-minute rush please arrive at the start point 15 mins early.
Unfortunately, the tour is not suitable for those with mobility problems.
Avoid bringing large purses, bags, or backpacks as there will be security checks while entering the attractions.
On the first Sunday of every month, due to Accademia Gallery’s admission policies, we may not be granted admittance. If this happens we will offer an extended walking tour of the city.
Your guide will be wearing blue City Wonders polo shirts or jackets at the meeting point for easy recognition.
