After the delectable meal, relax and listen to a baroque repertoire from the 17th and 18th centuries including works by Bach, Handel, Mozart and Vivaldi. To make the atmosphere even more authentic, the musicians and soloists will all be dressed in period costumes.

    A delightful experience awaits you with the Berlin Residence Concert at Great Orangery Charlottenburg Palace, Dinner & River Spree Cruise combination package. You have to exchange your voucher for the concert tickets, cruise and dinner vouchers Before the beginning of the tour at the ticket office at the Small Orangery Charlottenburg Palace (Spandauer Damm 22-24, 14059 Berlin). We recommend to pick up the tickets before 1330h (1:30pm) to make sure that you arrive in good time to board the boat. The ticket office at the Small Orangery is open at 0900h (09:00am) - 1800h (6:00pm) Mondays - Saturdays.

    The fun starts with your 3-hour sightseeing river cruise. The boat departs from Palace bridge (Schlossbrucke) at 1415h (2:15pm). As well as the Schlossbrucke you will see the following: Charlottenburg river bank (Charlottenburger Ufer), Hausa District (Hansaviertel), Ministry of the Interior, the Reichstag, Government district (Spreebogen), and Bellevue Palace (The German President’s official residence).

    In the evening, you can enjoy a delicious dinner and delightful Baroque concert at Charlottenburg Palace, the largest palace in Berlin.The magnificent building is surrounded by glorious gardens showcasing various architectural styles. The building was in its heyday in the 18th century under the Prussian King Frederick the Great who was an enthusiastic patron of the arts.

    The evening festivities are held in the Great Orangery of the Palace, a Baroque architectural jewel. You should aim to arrive there at 1745h (5:45pm).

    On arrival, you will be greeted by a royal Master of Ceremonies, who will guide you through the event. Your evening begins with an exquisite three-course dinner inspired by the tastes of the Prussian monarchs and illuminated by hundreds of candles.     After dinner, the Berlin Residence Orchestra, its members and vocal soloists, dressed in period costumes, will perform masterpieces of the Baroque and early classical period.You will be treated to compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach, George Frideric Handel, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Vivaldi. Works by Frederick the Great himself and his court composer complete the musical experience.

    The Berlin Residence Orchestra offers four concert ticket categories, namely: VIP (front row), A, B, and C. VIP guests will enjoy a glass of Champagne during the interval.

    The concert lasts approximately 2 hours and at the end you will need to make your own way back to your accommodation.

    Please collect your concert tickets and cruise voucher at the office at the Small Orangery at Charlottenburg Palace in advance. Your cruise voucher will be valid for the same day as your concert ticket.

    The children aged from 3 years to 12 years get 50 % discount, but if they book also the dinner they only get a half portion!

    The Berlin Residence Orchestra was formed exclusively for the concert series at Charlottenburg Palace. All members of the ensemble are highly professional and respected musicians from Berlin showing a deep understanding of late Baroque music and the classical period as well a true passion for its interpretation. Endowed with great empathy for the music as well a high level of musical homogeneity, the orchestra presents the most outstanding works of this remarkable era to today’s audience.

    The program features highlights of the music of the 17th and 18th century, featuring works by musical geniuses such as Johann Sebastian Bach and George Friedrich Händel, as well as the compositionally gifted King Frederick II and the incomparable Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
