Overview

An epic Venice tour ideal for those who have limited time in Venice. Enjoy a classic gondola ride, skip-the-line, guided visits to two of the main Venice attractions – St Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace, as well as a morning walking tour.

Walking Tour:

Start with a morning walking tour of St Mark's Square and the residential Castello area and discover the hidden squares, winding canals and historical buildings with a local guide providing you with a perfect introduction to the origins, symbols, traditions, architecture, and life in current day Venice. Discover campo Santa Maria Formosa and campo San Giovanni & Paolo with its Basilica the place where the doges of Venice were buried. You will also be seeing the former residence of Marco Polo, probably the most famous Venetian merchant, and the Malibran theatre

Doge's Palace:

Continue your tour to another of Venice’s major attraction, the Doge’s Palace once the residence of the Doge, the Chief Magistrate and leader of the Venetian Republic. Skip the line and explore the lavish chambers including the magnificent Golden Staircase, the world’s largest oil painting, ‘Paradise’, the prison from where the adventurer and womanizer Giacomo Casanova made a brilliant escape, and the renowned Bridge of Sighs.

St Marks Basilica:

Discover the greatest of Venice’s monuments and save your greatest admiration for the Basilica’s most precious possession – the eye-popping Pala d'Oro, an exquisite altar screen made from hundreds of pieces of enamel stuck onto gold leaf and enriched precious gems. The iconic church majestically symbolizes the lagoon and enshrines the city’s history and Saints relics.

30-minute Gondola Ride:

A gondola ride down the famous Grand Canal is the perfect way to appreciate the vibrancy and charm of the city of Venice. Admire the gondolier’s skill as he steers the wooden rowboat through the intricate waterways and pass by the romantic façades. Sit back, take in the beautiful views and while you glide along the Grand Canal, look up at the glorious palazzos above you.
