Activity Overview

Looking for an escape from the busy, winding Venice city streets? It’s a maze out there! Well, from one maze to another, but in a very different way. Now you can literally get yourself lost, in an enjoyable way, at the 1km long Borges Labyrinth.

Inspired by Argentine author Jorge Luis Borges’ short story, The Garden of Forking Paths, this labyrinth consists of 3,200 boxwood plants and makes a welcome change to the concrete streets.  

You’ll be able to explore the maze with an audio guide, which will include an orchestral accompaniment. It’s quite something. And when you’ve escaped the labyrinth, you can head inside Nuova Manica Lunga, a vast library that was once the dormitory for Benedictine monks. There you can get lost in the thousands of books! It’s a literature lovers dream to add to the adventure. It's a perfect Venice distraction.
