Watch the setting sun and dine under a canopy of stars at the award-winning Sounds of Silence dinner. In a wonderful setting in the middle of the desert, witness a spectacular sunset over Ayers Rock.
Taste classic Australian delicacies like bush tucker – barramundi, kangaroo, emu, bush salads and some delectable Australian desserts, complemented by some of Australia's finest wines.
After the meal enjoy a guided tour through the constellations by the resident Star Talker. Away from distracting city lights, in the pitch darkness of the Red Centre, discover the Universe beyond in a stargazing session.

The Sounds of Silence Dinner starts one hour before sunset, the exact time will vary throughout the year. Your hotel pick up time will be informed with your booking confirmation.

You will be picked up from your accomodation in Ayers Rock Resort from where you proceed towards the Sounds of Silence Experience. The journey begins on a lone sand dune which offers uninterrupted, 360 degree view of Uluru, the domes of Kata Tjuta and a spectacular sunset. You will be greeted with sparkling wine and canapés and can relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery and the magnificent way in which Uluru changes color in the setting sun. The buffet dinner will be a wonderful array of traditional Australian barbeque specialties including barramundi, kangaroo, emu, crocodile, bush salads and classic desserts, complemented by Australian wines. The remote location of Uluru makes it a wonderful place for stargazing. To end this wonderful evening a resident astronomer will lead you on a journey through the constellations of the southern night sky. In winters, you will gather around a campfire to savour a special treat of hot mulled wine. At the end of the evening you will be returned to your accommodation in Ayers Rock Resort.

To protect the quality of the experience, the Sounds of Silence Dinner will not operate if the weather conditions are not optimum (including rain or heavy cloud cover which makes star-gazing impossible). In case, the tour does not operate on your chosen date every effort will be made to move you to another date. If this is not be possible, you will be offered a full refund.
