Overview

Experience the surreal beauty, allure and azure hues of the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains and the iconic Three Sisters rock formations at Echo Point. Behold the humbling beauty of the rugged mountain peaks, canyons and sandstone escarpments and take in the most stunning views from the secluded lookouts and valleys. The Blue Mountains get their name from the slate-coloured mist that rises from the eucalyptus tree and veils the mountains and the sky.

Visit the Waradah Aboriginal Culture Centre for an insight into the world’s oldest surviving culture with a dynamic dance and didgeridoo performance. Enjoy a 2-course restaurant lunch in the mountain village of Katoomba and spend time window-shopping and popping in at the galleries.

Get up close to a koala and hand-feed kangaroos at the award-winning Featherdale Wildlife Park. Enjoy guided bushwalks through the picturesque trails as your knowledgeable guide takes you through the history and heritage of the iconic Blue Mountains.

Round off the wonderful day with a scenic river cruise that passes under the Sydney Harbour Bridge before ending at Circular Quay.

48 hours in Edinburgh A weekend of history, hiking and haggis!

Beautifully preserved Medieval and Georgian architecture, a world-renowned art and literature scene, awe-inspiring views, a rich cultural history and lip-smackingly good food; it’s no wonder Edinburgh inspired Burns’ adoration: “Edina! Scotia’s darling seat!
