Explore the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains and its many natural wonders on this wonderful
The Blue Mountains get their name from the slate-coloured mist that rises from the eucalyptus tree and veils the mountains and the sky. In 2000, the Blue Mountains were included as a World Heritage site for its scenic beauty. The region is also known for its Wollemi Pine, a living fossil that dates back to the dinosaur era.
Waterfalls, sleepy hamlets and the rich warm smell of the Australian bush make this a very special place for every visitor.
You will travel in a coach to the major highlights of the region accompanied by driver cum guide. The sites to be covered are Megalong Valley, Three Sisters and Jamison Valley, Waradah Aboriginal Centre, Leura and a Koala Sanctuary.
You can also upgrade your tour to add lunch at an exclusive reserved dining area with scenic views.
You will board your coach for Blue Mountains from designated meeting point. On your way you will cross the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and go uphill via the sleepy hamlets of Blaxland, Leura, Wentworth and Lawson.
Your coach will then stop at Katoomba, the regional capital of the Blue Mountains. From there you will take a scenic cliff drive over the Megalong Valley. You can also visit Scenic World consisting of Scenic Railway and Scenic Cableway. While the Scenic Railway takes you down the steep descent past Orphan Rock, through a dark tunnel and a fern-damp cliff, the cableway takes you on a 545 metre ride into the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area rainforest of the Jamison valley. You have plenty of time to enjoy the rides (not included in the tour).
Next, walk on the valley floor boardwalk under a canopy of tall tree ferns before you reach the Echo Point to see the famous Three Sisters. You will be awe-struck by the impeccable rock formation over the Jamison Valley.
You can upgrade this tour to add lunch at an exclusive private reserved dining area overlooking the famous Three Sisters and Jamison Valley.
During the course of the tour, you will also meet an elder from one of the aboriginal tribes. Also, visit the Waradah Aboriginal Centre and celebrate Aboriginal song, dance, didgeridoo and culture.
You will also have time to wander on the streets of the quaint mountain village of Leura, which is known for its gardens. The village is lined with fine cafes, restaurants and galleries. Leura guarantees a relaxed experience.
Finish the day with a relaxing cruise down the Parramatta River and Sydney Harbour, enjoying the sunset.
