In the Piazza della Republica you will find the particularly noteworthy Fountain of the Naiads, which has four reclining nymphs encircling a bronze statue of Glaucus (Greek sea-God). The Piazza del Popolo has long been popular with visitors. At the heart of the square is the Egyptian obelisk of Ramses II with magnificent fountains around the base.
The papal audience will take place at the heart of the Vatican. The piety, faith and the devotion of the gathering all contribute to the spiritual atmosphere.
