There’s no better place to learn about Jazz than in the “City of Music” on a New Orleans Jazz It Up Tour!
With the New Orleans Jazz It Up Tour tickets, you’ll learn about the history of Jazz in the very city where Jazz legend Louis Armstrong was born. New Orleans is famous for impromptu street performances and live gigs. Some people claim that New Orleans got its nickname ‘The Big Easy’ because struggling musicians could earn a better living here than other places. Unsurprisingly, New Orleans’s streets overflow with musicians and local talents at any time of day. The nightlife remains vibrant, to say the least. And, you can expect to see people walking down the street with a drink in hand.
We will start our Jazz history tour at the famous Louis Armstrong Park situated in the Tremé neighborhood. There, you will learn about Armstrong’s life and the origins of Jazz, springing from the African-American communities in New Orleans. After our Jazz history lesson, you’ll proceed to the Marigny neighborhood, famous for its happening nightlife. From there, we will go to Frenchmen Street, where you can find the largest concentration of live music venues in the city. Your guide will take you to the most famous and popular places and buy you a beer. We’ll end the tour in the nightly art market where you can meet some locals. It’s one of the best things to do in New Orleans if you want to learn about the city and enjoy a night out!
