A wild wet adventure in which you’ll discover the glories of the Mornington Peninsula, meet amazing marine life and swim with dolphins!
Visit Point Nepean National Park and admire the breath-taking views from the cliff-tops before enjoying a picnic lunch.
Your afternoon experience will be the thrill of a lifetime. After snorkeling training you will have the chance to swim with friendly Australian fur seals and shoals of rainbow-colored fish.
Most exciting of all is the chance to actually snorkel with wild bottle-nose dolphins. Frolic in the waves with these delightful creatures in the beautiful surroundings of Port Phillip Bay – an experience never to be forgotten. Be the envy of your friends back home when you tell them all about it!The Dolphin Swim & National Park experience starts when you join the tour at 570 Flinders Street Melbourne. You will be driven out to Point Nepean National Park on the Mornington Peninsula in a luxury air-conditioned coach. On the way you will enjoy one of Australia’s most beautiful coastal drives.
Point Nepean lies on the far west of the Mornington Peninsula and showcases spectacular scenery and magnificent views of the Bass Strait. The area has a rich human history dating back 40,000 years.
After a morning in the National Park and a picnic lunch, you will stop at Sorrento Pier to collect all your snorkeling equipment and step aboard your tour vessel. The cruise starts with an introductory on-board snorkel demonstration. Then you head out into the sheltered shallows of Port Phillip Bay and sail past magnificent cliff top mansions and beautiful private beaches.
Arriving at Chinaman’s Hat, you can put your new snorkeling skills into action and swim with friendly Australian fur seals in crystal clear waters.
Next, you’ll sail to Popes Eye Marine Park for a look at the Australian gannets. You also get the chance to snorkel with the vast array of multi-hued fish, brightly colored sea stars and the occasional friendly stingray. Small-group guided snorkel tours are offered and led by marine biologists, or you may wish to explore at your own pace.
Climb back on board the boat and set off across Port Phillip Bay in search of bottlenose dolphins. The captain will gently steer the boat into the best position for you and other guests to enjoy the unique experience of swimming with wild dolphins.
Dolphin swims are conducted in small groups to give you a quality experience without disturbance to the dolphins’ way of life. Instructors will be in the water to assist you and ensure you are in the best spot to enjoy this breathtaking experience.
On the way back to Sorrento Pier, you can enjoy a hot drink, take a hot shower or just sit back and enjoy the sunshine and crystal waters of the beautiful bay.
