This enjoyable tour takes you to three great London pubs, all very different. Meet the locals, experience the atmosphere and sample a range of drinks. You also get a chance to taste that other great British specialty ‘fish and chips’!
The evening out also gives you the chance to look at London from another perspective and see many of the famous landmarks illuminated at night.
Don’t miss this quintessential British experience!
To join this exciting Famous London Pubs Tour you should make your way to one of the advertised meeting points (Embankment Pier) where you will meet your coach and German-speaking guide. On this tour you will travel a short way by coach and then continue on foot.
The pub – an abbreviation for public house – has enjoyed a definitive place at the centre of British social life for hundreds of years. They say the history of pubs can be traced back at least to the alehouses of Saxon times and probably even earlier – to the taverns frequented by the Romans.
In addition to typical bar drinks, many pubs also offer a large selection of tasty meals. Nowadays you often find entertainment as well – live music and talent evenings such as karaoke. London offers more than 5,000 different pubs and, on this evening tour, you’ll have the opportunity to visit three very different pubs all from different eras.
At the start of the tour, you will visit a local West End pub, where you’ll be served a generous portion of the British speciality, the traditional and delicious dish ‘fish and chips’.
The selection of drinks is often more extensive than the selection of food on offer. On your pub tour, you’ll be able to try a few different drinks: perhaps a traditional ’ale’ (dark beer), a refreshing cider, a cool ’lager’ (light beer) or even a freshly poured Guinness (payable direct).
During the tour through London, you’ll be able to experience the city from a different perspective. Enjoy the floodlit views of the Thames and all the famous landmarks of the city.
At the end of the evening, your coach will pick you up and take you back to your pick-up point or, should you wish to continue to enjoy the London night life, your guide can of course recommend the best clubs and pubs to visit.
