Combine 2 iconic London experiences in one morning - the Westminster Abbey and the Changing of the Guard.
Delve into the intriguing history of Westminster Abbey as you explore the church from the inside. Marvel at its Gothic architecture, towering arches, and intricate stonework as your guide narrates the stories of this incredible landmark. Visit the ornate chapels and tombs of famous figures such as Elizabeth I, Mary Queen of Scots, and Isaac Newton before you head out for Changing of the Guard ceremony.
For the Changing of the Guard, your guide will help you find a prime view spot of this time-honored ritual. This world-renowned ceremony will commence at either Buckingham Palace or at Horse Guards Parade. Your guide will tell you all about the pageantry and history behind the ceremony of the King’s red tunic-wearing Foot Guards and their signature bearskin hats as they march with the military band or Household Calvary. Enjoy a visual and auditory experience like no other as the military band or the Household Cavalry ride upon their magnificent steeds along with the guard.
You may also upgrade your ticket and include entrance to Buckingham Palace which is open for a limited period every year!

Meeting Point instructions:
At Westminster Abbey, look for the tall marble and stone column opposite the west entrance of Westminster Abbey. At the top is a figure of St George slaying a dragon. Your guide will be waiting at this column.
Please note that it is customer's responsibility to make it to both tour meeting points on time.
Please note that if you book your tour on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday, you’ll experience the change of the Household Cavalry.
The Changing of the Guard is subject to changes in date, time and cancellation at the discretion of British authorities. Cancellation due to bad weather is not announced before the morning of the ceremony. When this occurs, customers will still see a ‘wet change’ during which the guards march but without the usual music or parade.
Please note that the changing of the guard schedule may change and on different dates we will see either footguards or horseguards.
Please note that Westminster Abbey is subject to last minute, unforeseen closures.
Westminster Abbey follows a strict dress code. Knees and shoulders must be covered for all genders.
The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details. They’re a nice bunch, and will happily answer any logistical questions you may have. Please give them a call at least 24 hours before your organised activity to reconfirm.
