  • Overview
Explore the starkly beautiful landscape of America's southwest desert and ride the waters of the mighty Colorado River on this four-location tour.

Drive through a craggy landscape of boulders and cactus to the casino town of Laughlin. Take to the river in a comfortable jet-boat and travel 58 miles past remote canyons and deep green pools to London Bridge.

Hear how a splendid bridge that once spanned the River Thames in England came to its new home on the Colorado. Explore the 'English Village' that has grown up around it.

Take a trip along the legendary Route 66 and enjoy more views of the rugged desert scenery.

Arriving in the old mining settlement of Oatman, you'll be forgiven for thinking you've strayed into a cowboy film. In this once-prosperous gold-rush town, time seems to stand still.

    Your hotel in Las Vegas

The London Bridge- Oatman Road and River Tour is a thrilling four-location excursion from Las Vegas. You will be picked up from your Las Vegas hotel in a luxury air-conditioned mini coach, by your English-speaking driver/ guide.

Heading off into the desert, you will drive through the forbidding volcanic scenery of Black Mountain and the McCullough Range and past an ancient dry lake. There is more life here than you might think. Joshua trees, yuccas and cactuses grow on flat land between the rocky hills and you may see wild burros and jack rabbits.

After the picturesque gold mining town of Searchlight you will enter the rugged Christmas Tree Pass, which gets its name from the scatter of pinyon and juniper trees along the route.

At the casino town of Laughlin you will board a custom-built 34 passenger (air-conditioned) jet boat for a two-hour, 58-mile narrated tour on the spectacular Colorado River. You will see remote gorges of great beauty, only accessible by river, deep jade-green waters, ancient rock carvings and desert wildlife.

At the end of your breath-taking boat ride, an incredibly fun 58-mile ride down the Colorado River & through the beautiful Topock Gorge (no whitewater rapids on this tour) you may be surprised to find yourself at London Bridge - the real London Bridge that once crossed the River Thames in England. More than 25 years ago it was purchased from the City of London and installed on the Colorado River.

The fine stone Bridge serves as a backdrop to the 'English Village' of Tudor-style buildings that has grown up around it. You will have two and a half hours here to explore, browse the charming shops and enjoy a delicious deli-lunch (choice of ham, turkey or vegetarian sandwich fillings).

Enjoy on the sandy shores of Lake Havasu Beach, the Ft. Lauderdale of the Mohave Desert! Be sure to bring your swimsuit & towel and go for a refreshing swim in this beautiful freshwater lake! All virtually next to the iconic “London Bridge.” This amazing structure was dismantled, shipped to America and reconstructed at Lake Havasu, Arizona. Walk this stately bridge that has been graced by “Kings and Queens.”

You will get back in your mini-coach for an exciting tour of the famous Route 66. This section of America's transcontinental highway winds through some of the most ruggedly beautiful desert scenes in the south-west.

The last stop on your tour is the famous Oatman 'Ghost Town', one of the few surviving 'gold rush' towns, and a place where the 1890s seem to be just a week ago. See the old buildings, feed the burros that wander the streets, down a beer in one of the saloons and have your picture taken with the Cowboys. You’ll love the Wild Burros on the main street as well as the gift shops and real old Saloons.

At the end of your delightful day in the desert, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Las Vegas.
