Your hotel in Las Vegas
After your hotel pick up you will be taken to the Miracle Mile Shops in Las Vegas, for a brief check-in. Before boarding your vehicle, you will enjoy a breakfast of pastry, breakfast bar, pop tart, donuts, coffee or tea, water or juice. Then, sit back in your state-of-the-art deluxe coach and drive over the Hoover Dam by-pass bridge over the mighty Colorado River and past sparkling Lake Mead. Continuing, your driver will point out Fortification Hill, built during World War II to protect the Dam. One of the most beautiful sections of the journey is the remote area known as Black Canyon, so-called because of the black volcanic rocks found throughout. As you leave the Canyon, you will pass through the Mojave Desert and through the 900- year- old Joshua Tree Forest. Arriving at the Grand Canyon West Rim you will be greeted by the Native Americans of the Hualapai Nation, who will welcome you to their home-land. You will have 4 hours to enjoy the beauty of this wilderness area. There will be time to explore at your own pace and you can enjoy a free shuttle service to places of interest, which include an authentic Native American Village and the Hualapai Ranch, a Western theme town with horseback and wagon rides. Don’t forget to check out the stunning views at Eagle Point and Guano Point. Plus, your incredible all-in-one tour includes two thrilling West Rim experiences. For a different view of the Canyon, you will board a helicopter and descend into the inner depths of the gorge. On the Canyon floor you’ll board a pontoon boat for a 20-minute ride down the Colorado River. After your boat ride you will re-board your helicopter for the flight back to the top of the Canyon. You also have the option to add a ticket for the breath-taking Skywalk, an ingeniously constructed Plexiglas walkway that extends out into space from the Canyon edge. With nothing but glass under your feet, it's like walking on 'air' 4,000 feet above the Colorado River. During your time at the West Rim, you can choose from three excellent lunch options. You could have a hearty buffet style meal with beef and vegetables at the Guano Pointe Buffet, a sandwich with salad at the Skywalk café or a barbecue cook-out buffet at the Hualapai Ranch. It’s your call! At the end of your unforgettable day out you will be driven back to Las Vegas and dropped off at your hotel.
