  • Overview & Itinerary

Open eucalyptus woodland, dense tropical rainforest and magnetic termite mounds are found in Litchfield National Park, which is just 130 km south west of Darwin. Ascend the rocky Tabletop Range where dry woodlands and forests dominate the huge sandstone plateau. Stop to view giant 'magnetic' termite mounds, some standing well over two metres tall. See the picturesque double waterfall forming Florence Falls, surrounded by rainforest. The Tolmer Falls are hailed as one of the most spectacular in the park, cascading over two high escarpments and plunging into a deep waterhole below.

Leaving Darwin, your coach will follow the Stuart Highway via the township of Batchelor to Litchfield National Park. Visiting the main falls of the Park, you have the opportunity for scenic and interpretive bush and monsoon vine forest walks.

View Florence Falls from a high vantage point before making your way down the stairs to the plunge pool below with an opportunity to swim, making your way back via the monsoon forest and open woodland.

Travel to Buley Rockhole where you can take this opportunity to swim in the many rock pools and also visit Tolmer Falls for a magnificent view of the water cascading down to the deep waterhole below.

Continue to Wangi Falls for another opportunity for a swim in the large crystal clear pool and an optional steady climb through the rainforest to the top of the falls.
