Overview

Get up close with Kakadu National Park - a UNESCO World Heritage and the largest national park in Australia - a gold mine of Nature as well as Aboriginal culture on this full day tour that also includes a lunch at Cooinda.

One of the most diverse landscapes on the planet, Kakadu is home to an incredible biodiversity - across land, air and water - and an incredible concentration of rock art sites, some of which are more than 50,000 year old. The National Park is not just gorgeous on the inside, the route to this region is equally breathtaking, especially the Marrakai Plains which you can see while travelling along the Arnhem Highway.

There are three terrific experiences to look out for on this journey:

  • The Warradjan Cultural Centre, where you will get acquainted with the Bininj people, their way of life and their fascinating history.

  • A cruise on Yellow Water Billabong, where you can admire estuarine crocodiles basking in the shallows and on the sandy banks as well as a dazzling array of birdlife, including sea eagles, brolgas and tiny brilliantly-hued kingfishers.

  • Nourlangie rock art site, where you can marvel at ancient carvings created by the Aboriginal ancestors and dig deeper into their culture, traditions and beliefs.

Voucher Information: Sorry, but you will need to print a paper version of your booking voucher (we promise we are working on changing this). Unfortunately, at this time, we will not be able to give anyone a refund without a printed copy of his/her voucher.

The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details. They’re a nice bunch, and will happily answer any logistical questions you may have. Please give them a call at least 24 hours before your organised  activity to reconfirm.

Don’t forget to report at the meeting point or pickup location at least 20 minutes before the start time to avoid any last minute rush.

It is recommended that you carry sunglasses, a hat, some sunscreen, a water bottle and some warmer layers of clothing for the cooler months.

Although the activity requires a low level of fitness, there is a 10-15 minute walk on uneven ground with a gradual climb to the viewing point, so don’t forget to wear enclosed, sturdy walking shoes.
