Go on the exciting Desert Safari where you can try sand tobogganing. You have the option of customising your day according to your mood. Have an adventure packed day or a simply relaxed and restful one at the Tangalooma Island Resort!
Enjoy hand-feeding a pod of wild bottlenose dolphins that visit the shores each evening at sunset. You also have the wonderful opportunity to learn more about the charming creatures.
You will depart from Brisbane Holt Street Wharf at either 7am or 10am (as per option chosen) and enjoy a leisurely cruise of approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes across the Moreton Bay to Tangalooma. Enjoy a thrilling Desert Safari where you go to the 100 acre Tangalooma Desert and climb one of the highest sand dunes and toboggan back down.
You will get a food and beverage voucher with this tour which you can redeem at the resort for lunch. Attend presentations and tours on dolphin behaviour and data collection at the Tangalooma Marine Education and Conservation Centre.
You will be spending up to 10 hours at the Tangalooma Island Resort, where you will have access to the resort’s facilities that include 2 swimming pools, restaurants and bars. You can also spend time at the air conditioned VIP lounge and use the showers, lockers, lounges and tea and coffee making facilities.
Your fun-filled day draws to a close with hand feeding wild dolphins at sunset. The tour comes to an end with a cruise back across the bay after feeding the dolphins. You can leave Tangalooma Resort and return to the wharf according to scheduled boat timings.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:30am / 4:00pm / 7:00pm
Boat timings vary depending on sunset times. Please note 7:00pm departure from Tangalooma is subject to change. Departure occurs at the completion of dolphin feeding at approximately 7:00pm in winter, 7:30pm in autumn/spring and 8:00pm in summer.
Voucher Information: You must print and surrender a paper version of your booking voucher for this activity (showing your voucher on a smartphone is not accepted). No refund can be given for customers without a printed copy of their voucher.
