See where one of the most brilliant Founding Fathers lived during an unforgettable Monticello Tour!
With your Monticello Tour tickets, you’ll get an eye-opening peek inside the life of one of the greatest men to ever walk the earth. Escape the bustling city of Washington D.C. and enjoy the beautiful Virginia countryside as you make your way to Monticello. Along the way, make a pit stop at Michie’s Tavern, a dining establishment that’s over 200-years-old! Grab a bite to eat or simply explore one of the oldest restaurants in the country before continuing your journey. If you’re looking for a little adventure during your vacation, then a Monticello Tour is what to do in Washington D.C.
Once you’ve arrived at Monticello, enjoy unfettered access to both the Thomas Jefferson Visitor Center and the Smith Education Center. Here, you’ll learn all about the life and times of Thomas Jefferson, a true genius who laid the groundwork for one of the freest and most productive nations to ever exist. Then, step inside the home of our 3rd President to get a sense of how he lived on a day-to-day basis. Explore the stately grounds before one final stop at Monroe’s Highland, which is the former home of our 5th President. It’s one of the most interesting things to do in Washington D.C. if you have an interest in American History!
